TDD 31: Are You Being A Good Boss?

JCF_YT Thumbnail Daily Dose 31

I’ve learned a lot from my pup, Nala.

Not just about the amazing creature that she is

But also from what I’m really like in other parts of my life

What I’m like in my relationships with my partner

My family or my friends

And most importantly, what I’m like at work.

Whenever the workplace is in a high level of stress

Feeling overwhelmed is inevitable

From the tasks waiting to get crossed off on our lists.

Different personalities we need to deal with on a daily basis

To a plethora of deadlines looming above our heads

It takes a lot of skill and will to keep our composure

While juggling all these things together.

When you’re leading a team like I am

We’re the ones who can see right through

When our employees are stressed, anxious,

And struggling to perform at a very high level

Or when they procrastinate or slack off too much

They lie, throw fits, or put on an attitude,

Do things we don’t want to see them doing.

But before we can start to wonder and complain

Why their performance or behavior has gone to sh*t

Why we’re this close to sacking them off from their post

The first thing we might want to do

Is to take a good hard look at ourselves in the mirror

Because there’s a pretty big chance

That a lot of the negative energy we’re getting

Could actually just be a reflection of what we’re like

But that’s not all I learned from my furry friend

Get on my video to find out more

About the important lessons in business and in life

That I’ve learned from my good ol’ Nala.

See you in there, fellas.

Cheers.
